Beautiful Train Rides Around the World
There is a particular kind of luxury that only moves at the speed of a train. From the storied carriages that once carried European royalty across the continent to the polished Pullman coaches that wind through the English countryside, these are the journeys where the ride is entirely the point. Marquetry paneling, white-gloved service, and dining cars that feel like the finest restaurants on rails — the world's great train experiences remind us that how you get there has always mattered as much as where you end up.

British Pullman, A Belmond Train, England
Celia, a new private dining and events carriage launching aboard Belmond's iconic British Pullman in May 2026, was designed by BAFTA-winning filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, the visionary behind Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, and Romeo + Juliet, alongside his wife and longtime creative partner, three-time Oscar-winning costume and production designer Catherine Martin. Inspired by Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, the British countryside, and the cinematic extravagance of a Luhrmann film, the carriage is built around the fictional muse Celia, an imagined 1930s West End actress, with tri-color marquetry walls depicting English pastoral scenes, oak floors inlaid with pansies, and a fabric ceiling engineered to enhance live acoustics for performances on board. Seating up to 12 guests, the standalone carriage features a dining area, lounge, bar, and private kitchen, transforming seamlessly into a theatrical space for performances as it journeys across the English countryside.
