FUZE Returns to Nassau in October, With the Bahamas Still Showing in Venice
The fair returns to Baha Mar from 21 to 25 October 2026 under the theme Coming Home, with more than 100 artists and over 20 galleries, museums and cultural institutions. It opens while the Bahamas is still showing at the Venice Biennale, in a pavilion Baha Mar helped sponsor, and one of its two artists is on the FUZE list.
FUZE Caribbean Art Fair returns to Baha Mar in Nassau from 21 to 25 October 2026 for its fourth edition, under the theme Coming Home. It opens while the Bahamas is showing at the Venice Biennale for the first time in thirteen years, in a pavilion Baha Mar helped sponsor: In Another Man's Yard, built around Lavar Munroe and the late John Beadle and curated by Dr Krista Thompson. Munroe is on the FUZE artist list as well.
Organizers expect more than 100 artists and over 20 galleries, museums and cultural institutions, representing more than 10 Caribbean nations along with the wider Americas, Africa and the United Kingdom. The rest of the artist list includes Deborah Jack, the St Martin artist based in New Jersey; the Bahamian artist April Bey, represented by Vielmetter Los Angeles and TERN Gallery; Antonius Roberts OBE; the Jamaican artist Charles Campbell; and Desmond Beach, represented by Richard Beavers Gallery in New York and recipient of the FUZE x SCOPE Residency Prize. Participating galleries and institutions include TERN Gallery, The Current and Galerie Myrtis.
The fair launched in 2023, organized by The Current: Baha Mar Gallery & Art Center, and runs as the official arts component of the Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival, which reaches its fifth edition this year with a culinary lineup including Daniel Boulud, Marcus Samuelsson and Nina Compton. The 2026 theme frames home as an emotional and cultural space shaped by memory and community rather than a fixed place, and the fair as a gathering place rather than a marketplace. John Cox, VP of arts and culture at the Baha Mar resort, describes the edition as a chance to reconnect with histories and communities.
Programming runs to panel discussions, workshops and Pulse Talks, the fair's academic presentations, along with a figure drawing class led by Cox. Hundreds of school students from across New Providence will take educational tours during the week, supported by the Baha Mar Foundation and Scotiabank, the fair's title sponsor.
General admission is $35 plus VAT. A Culture Guru Pass at $80 plus VAT covers unlimited admission for all five days. Weekend passes and festival packages are also available, at festival.bahamar.com.
