Junoon
Fifteen years in, Junoon is still raising the bar for Indian fine dining in New York City. The Flatiron restaurant, which earned a Michelin star for eight consecutive years, is marking its anniversary with two bold new additions: a seven-course "Journey Through India" tasting menu that takes guests through five distinct Indian states via a nostalgic wooden puzzle map, and a color-based cocktail menu called "Color Me a Cocktail; Choose Your Canvas," where guests choose their drink by mood and hue rather than spirit. The tasting menu was conceived by founder Rajesh Bhardwaj and his son, Executive Chef Akshay Bhardwaj, while the cocktail program was created by Chief Mixologist Hemant Pathak and features rare Indian botanicals like timbur, stoneflower, and neem. Together, the two menus make a strong case for Junoon being one of the most creative restaurants in the city right now.
