Soho House NoMad Brings Its First New York Gym to Broadway
Soho House's fourth New York House will be the first of its Houses in the city to have a gym. Soho House NoMad will occupy part of the Johnston Building, a 1903 Beaux-Arts landmark at Broadway and West 28th Street, and is scheduled to open in early 2028. No firm date has been announced.
The House spans three floors of club and wellness space, where members can eat, drink, work out, recharge and meet. Soho House describes the Soho Health Club here as the most advanced in the group.
The gym
The gym is fully equipped, with strength and cardio machines and a regular program of classes. Soho House's existing New York Houses are Soho House New York, Ludlow House and DUMBO House.

The Soho Health Club
The Soho Health Club covers more than 20,000 square feet. It has a sauna, a hammam, an ice bath and treatment rooms, with therapeutic treatments, recovery amenities and social wellness on the program.

The club spaces
The club side centers on a Club Bar and Drawing Room overlooking Broadway. There is also a separate bar and lounge, a pantry for late-night drinks and a hidden outdoor terrace. Live music and performances will take place in an events space called the Magic Room.

The Johnston Building
The Johnston Building is a twelve-story, limestone-faced building on the southeast corner of Broadway and West 28th Street. It was built between 1902 and 1903 to designs by the architects Schickel & Ditmars for its first owner, Caroline H. Johnston, and carries her name. Its rounded corner bay is topped by a domed cupola.
The building is a contributing property in the Madison Square North Historic District, a New York City landmark district. It is currently home to The Ned NoMad, a hotel from Soho House's sister brand, The Ned.
