Aman is finally heading to Mexico, and it picked one of the country's most untouched coastlines to do it. Amanvari, whose name blends the Sanskrit words for "peace" and "water," opens on August 1, 2026 along Baja California's wild East Cape, where the desert, the Sea of Cortés, and a river estuary all converge. Set within the 1,500-acre Costa Palmas community, the resort keeps things deliberately intimate with just 18 casitas, many elevated to capture sweeping views of the water and the Sierra de la Laguna mountains, alongside a collection of private Aman Residences. Dining spans Italian, Japanese, and Baja-inspired menus, while the Aman Spa introduces a contemporary take on the traditional temazcal sweat lodge, making this feel less like a hotel opening and more like the discovery of a hidden sanctuary.
