Maison Heler Metz, Curio Collection by Hilton
Ten years in the making, Maison Heler is one of the most singular hotels in France. Conceived by Philippe Starck as a living work of art, the hotel takes the form of a nine-story monolithic building, topped by a replica of a traditional 18th-century Lorraine house, sitting just steps from the Centre Pompidou-Metz. The entire universe of the hotel is inspired by a surrealist novel Starck wrote, "La Vie Minutieuse de Manfred Heler," whose eccentric fictional inventor breathes life into the decor, a secret alphabet hidden in the closets, and an intimate rooftop restaurant perched inside the house above. 104 rooms and suites, two restaurants, a garden bar, and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views over the city complete the experience.
