Orient Express Venezia

A 15th-century Venetian palace, reborn. Orient Express Venezia just opened, inside the Palazzo Donà Giovannelli, an aristocratic residence built in 1436 that has been transformed into a hotel for the first time in nearly 600 years. Architect Aline Asmar d'Amman worked on the restoration for eight years, preserving original mosaics, frescoes, and sculptures while layering in Murano chandeliers, silk wall coverings, Carrara marble, and a collection of contemporary art throughout the 47 rooms and suites. Dining is led by three-Michelin-starred chef Heinz Beck, while the art deco-style Wagon Bar pays direct homage to the golden age of rail travel that made the Orient Express name legendary.
