Park Hyatt Tokyo
The most famous hotel in cinema has finally reopened its doors. Park Hyatt Tokyo, immortalized in Sofia Coppola’s Lost in Translation, returned following a 19-month restoration, the most comprehensive renewal in the landmark’s 30-year history. Perched on the upper floors of Kenzo Tange’s Shinjuku Park Tower, the redesign by Paris studio Jouin Manku reimagines all 171 rooms and suites with softer forms, contemporary Japanese art, and expanded skyline views, while preserving the quiet, cinematic soul guests have cherished since 1994. New arrivals like Girandole by Alain Ducasse join returning icons such as the New York Grill & Bar and the glass-roofed pool at Club On The Park, making this Tokyo’s most anticipated return in years.
