The Cooper opened on March 1, 2026 as Charleston's first and only luxury waterfront hotel on the peninsula, perched right on the banks of the Cooper River in the French Quarter. The 191-room property by BHC features residential-style guest rooms designed by Champalimaud in collaboration with Atelier Kim, four distinct dining venues led by signature restaurant The Crossing, a 7,000-square-foot recovery spa, and a rooftop infinity pool with sweeping views of Charleston Harbor. A private marina with a fleet of luxury vessels, including a Hinckley yacht, makes the entire city accessible by water, setting a new standard not just for Charleston but for the South.
